Accordionist and vocalist, Lee Benoit, is an accomplished musician whose energy, passion, and intensity are released through his music. Lee is proud of his Cajun heritage and is truly devoted to performing traditional Cajun music with dignity and professionalism. Lee's first CD in 1994 (Lee Benoit Avec Amis) was nominated for "Best First Album" and "Song of the Year" (with the song "Valerie") by the Cajun French Music Association. His second CD in 1998 (Lee Benoit Live At Vermilionville) was nominated for "Album Of The Year", "Male Vocalist Of The Year", "Accordionist Of The Year", "Band Of The Year" and Won the 1998 "Song Of The Year" (With the song "The Visit") by the CFMA. He has recently won "Accordionist Of The Year" for 2000 and with Don Fontenot, "Best Album/CD Of The Year" for 2000 with the CFMA.
